Rental conditions
Minimum age
The driver must be at least 23 years of age and a valid driving license for at least 1 year. With an age older than 25, there is a maximum deductible of USD 300. When younger than 25 years of age there will be a maximum deductible of USD 400.
Returns
The car must be returned in the same condition, including accessories, spare tire and tools, the car must be clean and have the same tank filling. If this is not met, the following costs will be charged: Missing accessories will be settled to the maximum deductible. Cleaning = USD 20, Fuel = USD 45 per half tank.
Damage and theft
In the event of theft of the car, parts or accessories, these costs will be deducted up to the maximum of the deposit/deductable. RYAN Car Rental is not responsible for items or belongings that are left in the car. Any minor damage/glass damage and loss of rental days due to repair, will be deducted from the deposit. The deposit remains under the management of RYAN Car Rental until the damage is fully arranged. The deposit will never serve as a prepayment of the rent. Damage caused without the knowledge of the tenant is also at the expense of the tenant. The tenant is fully liable for damage caused by ignoring warning lights and (temperature) meter(s) on the dashboard and damage caused intentionally, conditionally or with the consent of the tenant.
Off-road
The cars are insured for use on public roads. Damage and pollution incurred by Off-Road use of the vehicle, are at all times and fully at the expense of the tenant and at least the full deposit will be retained. If the investigation shows that the damage is higher than the deposit paid, post-clearance will take place.
Liability in case of injury
The tenant indemnifies RYAN Car Rental against all liability for damage and/or injuries caused to the goods and/or persons transported by the leased property. In addition, costs relating to damage and/or injury caused to the counterparty that exceed the insured sum of ANG 150.000, at the expense of the tenant.
Security & accidents
If the car is left unattended, the lessee must remove the key, close the car and put the theft protection into operation. In the event of a breakdown or damage, contact RYAN Car Rental as soon as possible. Self-solved faults on the car can not be charged. Flat tires must be repaired and paid by the tentant himself. Changing and repairing the tire (USD 5 - 10 ) must be arranged by the tenant. In case of an accident/damage : Do not move the vehicle and the renter is obliged to have a Curacao Road Service (Tel 199) report drawn up and to abstain from commitments. In the event of his negligence, the damage will be fully for the account of the tenant. The deductible amount applies per event. (per case).
Vehicle use
The tenant is not permitted to use the car for other than private purposes and to drive the car if he/she is in such a degree of disqualification that the driving of motor vehicles is forbidden to him/her by law.
Alcohol & drug use
Damage caused by driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs is entirely at the expense of the tenant.
Driver and co-driver(s)
The car may only be driven by the tentant, unless RYAN Car Rental has recorded the driving license data of the co-driver(s) and has granted permission to do so.
Payment rent
The car may only be driven by the tentant, unless RYAN Car Rental has recorded the driving license data of the co-driver(s) and has granted permission to do so.
Return term
By returning the car within the agreed period, no refund will be given. In the event of non-return of the car, all costs related to the recovery of the car are at the tenant's expense.
Driving behavior
The car must be driven in accordance with the rules applicable on Curacao. In case of violation of this, all costs are for the account of the tenant.
Consequences conditions
If the tenant does not abide by the above conditions, all consequences are for the account of the tenant, if the tenant breaches the contract, RYAN Car Rental has the right to confiscate the car immediately without refund of the prepaid rent and deposit. In cases where these conditions not provide, the decision-making authority lies the decision-making power at RYAN Car Rental.
